The 147.090+ repeater is located on top of the Bank of America building on the Independence Square in Independence, Missouri. The coverage area to the Kansas City Metro area is excellent considering the 147.090+ repeater transmits at only 35 watts at the antenna. No PL Tone is required at this time.

The 147.090+ repeater has several awesome features:
-
Battery Back-up (up to several weeks -- depending on the usage.)
-
Remote Bases - FM-mode only (on 10 meters, 6 meters, 1.25 meters, & 70 centimeters.)
-
Telephone Auto-Patch
-
EchoLink ID #133333 (KC0JTE-L)
The "O" nine repeater, as it's affectionately called by our members, has two main times when it is used. In the morning, during morning rush hour, and the evening, during evening rush hour.
Even though during a training exercise or actual activation the Independence, Missouri R.A.C.E.S. use the 145.310- located at Fire Station #1, the Independence FM ARC's 147.090+ could be used as an alternative repeater in the case of a primary repeater (145.310-) failure, in theory. |
